Kdis and Golden Doodles.jpg

Hello

Thank you for your interest in Auri Goldendoodles! We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and share what makes our breeding program truly special.

My name is Jana, and together with my dear friend Anri, we founded this breeding partnership in 2020. Based in Pretoria and Vanderbijlpark, we are deeply passionate about raising happy, healthy, and well-socialized Goldendoodles who bring joy to their forever families.

Our setup

At Auri Goldendoodles, our breeding dogs are much more than part of a program—they are our beloved pets and cherished family members. They live in our homes, share our lives, and even join us on holidays. Our special Rylee is lovingly cares for by Anri, while I’m managing our Golden Retriever females in the guardian programme.

Our litters

Our females typically have one to two litters each per year. While we aim to space the litters throughout the year, Mother Nature often sets her own timeline. Once pregnant, our moms carry for approximately 63 days, and the puppies remain with us for nine weeks before they’re ready to meet their new families.

Our puppies are raised in our lively, loving homes, surrounded by children, other pets, and everyday household sounds. This environment helps them adapt to different situations, such as children’s playful energy, the company of other animals like cats and dogs, and the typical hustle and bustle of family life.

Growing up

When fully grown, Goldendoodles have a wide weight range influenced by their parents. Our Poodle male typically weighs 18-23 kg, while our Golden Retriver females weigh 20-30 kg. As adults, our Goldendoodles generally fall within the 20-30 kg range, making them the perfect blend of size and charm

Coats

Goldendoodles are renowned for their gorgeous and versatile coats, which can be straight, wavy, or curly. These coat types enhance their adorable appearance and contribute to their low-shedding and hypoallergenic qualities.

Straight / Flat Coat

  • Looks more like a Golden Retriever

  • Minimal curl, lies flat or slightly wavy

  • Might shed minimally

  • Lowest grooming maintenance

Wavy / Fleece Coat (most popular)

  • Loose waves with a soft, fluffy texture

  • Often described as teddy-bear like

  • Low to no shedding

  • Common in F1, F1B, and multigen Goldendoodles

  • Requires regular brushing and professional grooming

Curly / Wool Coat

  • Tight curls similar to a Poodle

  • Lowest to no shedding

  • Hypoallergenic-friendly (though no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic)

  • Most common in F1B and multigenerational Goldendoodles

  • Highest grooming needs (matting risk if not maintained)

Colors

Their colours are equally enchanting. Goldendoodles come in a range of stunning options, including

Cream / Champagne

  • Very light, almost white to pale cream

  • One of the most popular Goldendoodle colours

  • Often lightens as the puppy matures

Gold

  • Classic Golden Retriever shade

  • Can range from light gold to deep honey tones

Red

  • Rich, deep red tones

  • More commonly seen when bred with red Poodles

  • May fade slightly over time

Apricot

  • Soft peachy or warm tan colour

  • Very popular and often lightens with age

Important notes for owners

  • Regular brushing from puppyhood is essential, especially for wavy and curly coats

  • Professional grooming every 6–8 weeks is recommended for all coat types

  • Coat type cannot be guaranteed 100%, but can be reasonably predicted based on parent coats and generation

Finding a home

When it comes to finding the perfect match for our puppies, we prioritize compatibility over a traditional waiting list approach. While we often have many interested families, we dedicate time to ensure that each puppy is placed in the best possible home. Our process includes a short, informal interview where we discuss your home environment, family dynamics, and preferences, such as timing, coat type, and gender.

The cost

Our Goldendoodles are R25 000.00.

This price reflects the extra care, premium genetics, and dedication we invest in breeding healthy, well-socialized Goldendoodles with stunning coats. We believe in providing not just a pet, but a loyal family member for years to come.

To Conclude

We believe it’s essential for families to understand the Goldendoodle breed—their unique needs, traits, and personalities. These intelligent, affectionate, and playful dogs thrive in environments where they are given love, attention, and the right kind of care. By taking the time to make thoughtful matches, we set both our puppies and their new families up for a lifetime of happiness together.
